Subterranean Frequency | Karin Birch

While working on Subterranean Frequency, I discovered healing Gong Bath music and Solfeggio Frequency music which made me think about stitching as representing energy waves or movement. I often listen to music while I work. Early in my studio life I listened to Gregorian Chant and ancient music. Then for a long time I listened to Philip Glass and other minimalist composers. Music that energizes without distracting helps me get into the repetition of stitching. I also like to listen to the birds, the wind or the rain while I work. I am lucky to have a garden right outside my studio window.
