ARTIST STATEMENT
The central axis of my production is the body-object. My main interest is the opacity and versatility of the concept of “Body” and the displacements that it has in the different disciplines that study or analyze it, for instance; "Body" is an organism for Biology, but a problem for Philosophy and Labor force for Economy. The body is an entity, matter, concept carrier vehicle. It does not depend on life, it is a body even after death, and it is in these different stages through which the body travels that demonstrate the material metamorphosis of body identity. The opacity of the body (seen in a contemporary way) is multiple and conforms to the look of the discipline that interrogates it, always in perpetual change, not only space - time, but also the symbolic place it occupies and that makes it difficult to categorize.
