ARTIST STATEMENT

The joy that I feel inside when I have pictures and ideas appearing in my mind's eye

who can be realized in gold motivates me to keep go on working.

I love to observe nature in its subtleties and the incredible variety of shape and color.

In my work I try to reflect this with the many techniques that I have learned over the 35 years of goldsmithing and perfected for myself.

Enamel plays a major role here. My specialty is the opalescent enamel, which has a particularly dazzling effect depending on the incidence of light. Fabergé has used this

type of enamel on his legendary Easter eggs.

It offered me the possibility to interpret clarity, effortlessness and playfulness of nature.

It makes me glad when people fall in love with the interplay of this many details.

For me this is a contribution to appreciate nature, to focus on its beauty.

Beauty plays a big role for me, it is the counterweight to all the dark sides of life.

If you can feel joy at the sight of beautiful things, you may feel peace and carry it into the world, that is my hope.
